University of Utah College of Fine Arts

We recently had the pleasure of collaborating with long-term client and great friends, the College of Fine Arts at the University of Utah, to create a trio of interconnected sites: the main College of Fine Arts site, the Department of Theatre site, and the Arts & Health Innovation Lab site. The goal was to establish a cohesive “family” of websites with shared design elements and functionality, while meeting the unique needs of each audience.

The College of Fine Arts site served as the cornerstone, featuring a clean, modern design that reflects the College’s creativity while staying true to University of Utah branding. We developed a user-friendly "mega menu" to simplify navigation and improve access to the College’s departments, programs, and resources.

The Department of Theatre site highlights upcoming productions and academic programs, with a striking yet functional design that balances storytelling and usability. The Arts & Health Innovation Lab site focuses on advancing the College’s mission of uniting arts and healthcare by prioritizing research initiatives and cross-disciplinary collaboration, while maintaining visual and structural consistency with the other sites.

Together, the three sites work beautifully, sharing common architecture, branding, and forms while offering tailored content for specific needs—whether it’s exploring performances, applying to programs, or learning about groundbreaking research.

Our friendship with the College of Fine Arts continues to be one of our most rewarding relationships.
