Downtown Farmers Market

The Downtown Farmers Market has become a staple of our lives here in Salt Lake City, inspiring us to access food from local purveyors, helping launch many a new food start-up, and creating a dynamic place to eat. While we've worked with the Downtown Farmers Market for almost a decade in designing their website, we were thrilled with the opportunity to help Urban Food Connections (who runs the market and has been a long-time client of ours via the Downtown Alliance) re-envision the visual brand identity and establish some consistency for the markets they host under the Downtown Farmers Market moniker, including Saturday, Tuesday, and Winter.

With bigger plans for the future to establish a year-round and permanent physical market, the branding sits squarely in the "market" space, making use of typography that translates well to signage. We also developed custom hand-drawn illustrations for usage in supporting on-site banners and other visual needs.

The website itself is designed to help differing market audiences get the essential details about where, when, how to park, and what's fresh, while also helping farmers, food purveyors, and arts and craft market applicants get through the process to be at the market. 

We look forward to seeing how the Downtown Farmers Market continues to build community in addition to spaces for a healthy and local food ecosystem in Utah.
