Bears Ears Partnership

  • Services Provided: Web Design, Branding & Logos
  • Narrative:

Bears Ears Partnership (formerly Friends of Cedar Mesa) applied for our Design For Good Community Grant last spring in need of a total makeover: new name, new branding, new site, new collateral. Based on a first-round logo design by Vanessa Holz, the major goal of this redesign was to harmonize their branding with the Bears Ears Education Center (their partner organization), and create an accessible, organized, and educational digital space.

Providing visitors with information on camping, hiking, and other ways to recreate in the Bears Ears region is one of the central functions of the website. We created a user-friendly guide with photos, maps, and special considerations for each area and interest. Protecting this beautiful landscape is just as important as providing recreation information so users will find "Visit With Respect" tips on each guide with accompanying videos on how to be stewards of this special place.

The Bears Ears Partnership works to protect and build respect for the cultural and natural landscapes of the greater Bears Ears region. Through indigenous connections, field work, stewardship, education, advocacy, and research, the BEP team and partners work toward the common goal of protecting the region’s natural and cultural resources.
