1. Presence, presence, presence! You never know when customers may be looking for you, finding your services, products, menu, address, etc. Make it easy on them. Be there!
  2. Power to the People. Your clients are looking for information, sometimes when you're not open, sometimes because they're shy, sometimes because they want to compare you to others before they give you their money. Whatever the reason, a good website will give them enough good reasons to call, to come by, or to donate.
  3. Super-Marketing! With short attention spans and limited advertising, why not give every ad you do the support of a website? What people remember in 30 seconds or a ¼ page ad may be your website where they can find out how much greater you are.
  4. Image is Everything. If your first interaction with a potential client was going to be on the internet, you'd tuck your cyber-shirt in, wouldn't you? Your credibility relies more and more on that first impression. If you don't have a website, get one. If you get one, get a good one. If you have one, make sure you maintain it. These days, this cyber-image speaks volumes about your business.
  5. Cultivate the Relationship. You've got to wine them and dine them, or at least say hello once in a while. In an increasingly competitive marketplace, e-newsletters are a perfect (and extremely affordable) way to keep in touch.
